"Its a great thing in a tech that you can walk onstage and feel confident....its like having a caddy"
Serving both the live stage and studio environment since 2001.
Building on a passion for music and a love of guitars, and a knack for diving 'in at the deep end'.
My first professional gig was looking after one of my favorite bands Marillion on tour, after only having one week's notice and a day to learn as much as i could, and with only one screwdriver, a pair of pliers and not forgetting a saggy old cloth cat which still accompanies me to this day at every show.
Having looked after the touring and studio work with the band, and helping run their groundbreaking independent Racket Records label for 7 years (did you know we invented the first ever album pre-order and thus pioneered 'Crowdfunding'?...true!), I had the chance to work with the legendary Iron Maiden during the 2008 'Somewhere Back in Time' Tour. Originally contracted for a few weeks as a stand in, the band were impressed enough to offer me the job within the first week. Gulp!
I decided to take the plunge and go freelance, and have worked with a rich and varied variety of artists since 2008, from The Spice Girls at Wembley Stadium, York Minster to the Sydney Opera House with Laura Marling, NYC's Radio City Music Hall to Singapore with Keane, plus Rock In Rio, Download, Knebworth, Madison Square Garden....
When not out on the road, I can be found in the 'Shed of Rock' repairing all manner of broken instruments for the public.
No job to big or small!
